Long bio
I grew up in Austria and started design as a teenager, with photo retouching in the days of pens and airbrushes in my dad’s small creative agency.
I have worked as a designer ever since graduating, both in agency environments and for my own small studio. From 2008 to the end of 2011, I worked for David Terrazas at his ing group studio, where I trained as digital designer and started my professional focus on sustainable design and social and environmental purpose design. During this time I also did a masters of Sustainable Design at UTS.
After my son came along in 2012, I decided to concentrate on my own clients in a small home studio environment focusing on small organisations and pro bono / for cost design for social and environmental causes on Fridays.
From 2014 to end of May 2020, I worked as head of design for The Greens NSW. I’ve had the opportunity to lead teams and collaborated on nationwide teams and with local campaigns around NSW – up to 93 at a time during state elections.
Between elections, I had opportunity to join a large variety of agency teams on a project basis, for example Jaywing, Now We Collide, Paper Moose.
I co-founded video conversation platform Sage.fm in 2016, creating the Sage.fm brand and initial experience design.
In June 2021 I joined Deepend full time as Experience Lead. Since then, I have led projects for a variety of NFPs, eg Red Cross, ReachOut, NSW Health, AMA, NIDA. I have developed digital strategy and driven research for member-based health funds THF and student accomodation provider CLV. I have been an instrumental part of digital transformation for member-based health fund Westfund and superannuation fund Active Super.
I continue to work pro bono creating digital and campaign design for causes dear to my heart.
My work for ReachOut, Active Super and Sound Storm has been awarded by Design Industry Australia and Good Design.
